Esoteric is a mature raiding guild (18+ recommended) looking for smart, motivated players that will respect one another and perform in high tension situations. We are Currently 11/12 ICC 25 Man, 1/12 ICC 25Man HM 12/12 ICC 10 man, and 8/12 10 man Hardmode If you cannot abide to these rules, don't apply to this guild! As said above, we want smart and mature players. Age isn't stressed, as long the level of maturity fits. Of course, in all seriousness, we are a bunch of fun loving people. Just keep it within the guild, and make reasonable comments. NO casual vent conversations during new content--the talking stops before the boss is pulled. Disrespect towards another member is absolutely NOT tolerated. Jokes pertaining to religion, politics, sexual orientation and the like are not allowed during raid, and not truly appreciated outside of raid either. We expect our members to bring consumables, reagents, money for repairs, and a decently sober head to raids. Since our raiding times are only 3 hours per night, we hope to see no wipes on bosses that are on farm. Of course, one or two wipes on new bosses are inevitable, but we want our members to learn these fights quickly. Likewise, we hope to see members do their own research prior to new content. This includes reading up on bosses and watching videos. No two guilds attempt bosses with the exact same placement and strategy, thus we require our members to be able to listen and follow instructions as they are told by raid leaders/officers/gms. Come raid time, it is expected that you are ON YOUR MAIN, NOT IN A GROUP, AND READY FOR AN INVITE. Invites go out at 8:15pm. If you are wait-listed, it is asked that you remain in group, and be ready to enter the instance at a moments notice should we need you. Being afk or not logged into your character will result in being passed up. 25-man progression is our main focus. These raids operate Monday to Thursday 8:30pm-12am server time, with a standard form-up time of 8:15. 10-man groups are strongly encouraged, but not truly regulated. Trial: A period of roughly 2+ weeks in which we see how you mesh with the rest of our guild. You will receive no loot unless it goes to Offspec, and you may be passed up for Veteran members when it comes to tougher/new content. Member: Someone who has passed the Trial period, and found to be a fit with the guild. You are under no restrictions with attendance, and have few obligations to raid. Raider: The first tier of raiders within the guild. These people are expected to have a minimum attendance of 60%. They receive loot priority over members. Core Raider: The top of the line, these are generally the first people into an encounter. Being at the front line also comes with a responsibility to the guild. You are expected to have a minimum attendance of 85%. Coming to raids without repair money, consumables, or the proper attitude will not be tolerated. Only 22 people will be assigned to this rank, and thus will be fiercely competed for. Promotions are made when we feel a member deserves it and has contributed to the guild enough to warrant a promotion. Promotions and demotions based on attendance will be done on the first raid reset of each month. Attendance is based not only on being in the raid, but (if wait-listed) being ONLINE, ON YOUR CHARACTER, AND READY TO GO. Omen Deadly Boss Mods (or BigWigs) ORA2 Pallypower (Paladins only) Decursive (Paladins, Priests, Druids, Shaman, Mages only) AVR KSK (used to view T10 loot lists) T10 Content (Icecrown Citadel 25-man) - A modified version of Suicide Kings is used here. Items are divided into several categories; main armor (s/a chest), secondary armor/jewelry (s/a wrists), main weapon, off-hand weapon, and tier tokens. Trinkets are handled via loot council due to the absolute rarity of trinkets and their overall impact on guild progression. This loot system does a rather good job to ensure that players are absolutely certain that they want an item when they roll on it, as winning an item is determined by your guild rank+position in the appropriate list. Actually recieving the item moves you to the bottom of said list. Lastly, you move back up the lists by attending raids. This is another part of the loot system that ensures that those who show are the ones who receive loot. Attendance for raids is taken on an hourly basis; if you leave a raid early, you only get credit for the first hours you were there for. If you come late, you only get credit for the last hours you were there for. Upon request, you may receive materials or items from the guild bank. Whether you actually receive said item is up to the discretion of the officers. Trials may NOT receive anything from the bank. 5 simple steps: 1. Create an account on the forums 2.
